YouTube Unveils Enhanced Channel Pages for Creators on TV App
In an attempt to enhance the user experience and increase the accessibility of content for large-screen viewing, Google-owned YouTube has revealed a revamp for creators’ channels on its TV app. Among the new features are a more modern appearance, improved action buttons, and the ability to play multiple video formats. YouTube said in the video announcing the updates to creators’ pages that the primary objectives of the makeover are to offer a more captivating appearance and easier methods to subscribe.
The new design was made in response to the company’s recent statistics, which revealed that the number of top creators who watch TV for the majority of their time has climbed by more than 400% in the last three years.
“Viewers want everything in one place, including live sports, NikkieTutorials, and Khan Academy. In a blog post, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan stated, “And they’re watching YouTube the way we used to sit down together for traditional TV shows—on the biggest screen in the home with friends and family.”

The business reports that from January to September 2023, the number of views of YouTube shorts on connected TVs climbed by more than 100%. The business also reported that, on average, people watch over 1 billion hours of YouTube content on TV every day, all around the world.
After a full year of data collection, Nielsen—a global leader in insights, data, and analytics—has declared YouTube the top streaming platform in the US in terms of view time.
