Woman’s Dance to ‘Stree 2’ Song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ in Metro Sparks Viral Debate, Called ‘Public Nuisance’ by Netizens
A video has gone viral of a woman dancing to the song “Aaj Ki Raat” from Stree 2 on a metro train—and it’s sparked a big online debate. In the clip, shared by Instagram user “_sahelirudra,” with the caption “On Public Demand,” the woman can be seen dancing confidently in the center of a train carriage as it travels.
While some passengers look on inquisitively, reactions on social media have been split. Some viewers have applauded her for being “brave” enough to pull off such a public performance, but many others were unimpressed. Negative comments about the dance came flooding in, with one person writing: “Public demand ❌ public nuisance ✅”; another joked: “India’s Got Talent—but performed on the wrong stage!”

A comment that stood out was: “People don’t even know where they belong anymore; it’s not the place for dancing!” Some raised questions about whether such performances broke the rules; one person had read the signs right, asking, “Aren’t you not allowed to film on the Delhi Metro?” Another wanted to know, “Is this sort of thing even allowed on the metro?” But despite these negative comments—or maybe because of them—the clip has already clocked up over a million views and 28,000 likes in just three days.
