Watch: Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir Share Heartwarming Hug and Smile During RCB-KKR Clash

The Indian Premier League (IPL) game between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was remarkable for a number of reasons.At the Chinnaswamy Stadium during the RCB vs. KKR strategic time-out in the first innings, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were pictured grinning and giving each other an embrace, suggesting that all is good between them. After the umpire signaled a break in the 16th over of Bengaluru’s innings, Gambhir went up to speak with Kohli and the two hugged each other.

Virat Kohli maintained his excellent form this season by hitting a second consecutive half-century, while West Indian all-rounder Sunil Narine celebrated his 500th T20 appearance on Friday with a Player of the Match triumph and KKR became the first team to win away from home this season.

Before the match between the two heavyweight teams, many were curious to see how Mitchell Starc of KKR and Dinesh Karthik of RCB fared against their previous teams after switching teams this season.

Even so, some, like former India pacer Varun Aaron, who played for both teams in the IPL, had anticipated another on-field confrontation between KKR coach Gautam Gambhir and RCB star batsman Virat Kohli. The two have a long history together, dating back to last season when Gambhir was coaching the Lucknow Super Giants.
