Viral Video: Pakistani Pilot Cleans Windscreen Before Takeoff, Sparks Debate

In fact, a viral video is doing rounds on social media which shows a Pakistani airline pilot cleaning the windscreen of his aircraft right before flight takeoff. The video has gone viral on social media that shows a Serene Air pilot leans out of the side window to clear the view ahead of the plane.

According to local media reports, the incident happened on an Airbus A330-200 that was operating an international flight between Pakistan and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. The job of pilots certainly involves doing such tasks, although the video has triggered a debate on the safety policies of airliners and what the ground staff is supposed to do. Thereby commenting on the video, one user asked, “Pilot h ya bus conductor “.

“Pakistan being Pakistan,” a user commented on the video.

“Hilarious, This could happen only in Pakistan,” the third user wrote.

However a section of the internet said that it is a normal practice.

“Frankly, Pilots do this. Not everyone, sometime those who are not satisfied by windscreen cleaning,” a user wrote.

“Pilots clean all the time,” another user wrote.

Last year, Pakistan came to the brink of default as the economy shriveled in the midst of political chaos and catastrophic 2022 monsoon floods, coupled with two decades of mismanagement, not to speak of the global economic downturn.

The nation was saved by last-minute loans from friendly countries and support from the IMF, but its finances remain in dire straits with high inflation and staggering public debts.
