Actor Vijay Unveils Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam Flag and Symbol in Chennai

The top Tamil actor Vijay, who leads the newly formed Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam, officially launched his party flag on Thursday during a brief ceremony at the party office in Chennai.

This flag unveiling day, Vijay and party workers took a serious oath with all the significance. The actor categorically said that he wanted to respect all who sacrificed themselves for the nation’s freedom and for the lakhs of soldiers who fought for Tamil rights.

He vowed to drive away practice disparities based on caste, religion, gender and place of birth for any individual and ensure awareness and equality. The oath he took was also that every individual ought to be assured of equal opportunities and rights.

Vijay had announced in February this year that he would indeed float the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam and contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. His party notably did not tie up with any political bloc during the recent Lok Sabha elections, in which the DMK-led alliance finished persuasively in Tamil Nadu.
