The Lady Killer: Bollywood’s Major Flop Quietly Released on YouTube
Ajay Bahl’s romantic thriller The Lady Killer, featuring Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar, got an equally uneventful digital release like the film received a low-key theatrical drop last year.
The film barely made any noise at the theaters and has now been dropped silently on the official T-Series YouTube channel sans any promotional events.

Continuing that lukewarm theatrical release, the film released on YouTube sans any pre-release publicity or social media hype. It appears that the digital release announcement with just a countdown means it perhaps failed to find a place on any significant OTT channel despite having strong star value in the name of Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.

Director’s Admission of Incompletion Even when the film was released, its director Ajay Bahl was candidly open about the film’s shortcomings, as expressed in a YouTube comment.

Bahl spoke of elements like Arjun and Bhumi’s romance, Bhumi’s fight with alcoholism, and Arjun’s psychological turmoil-all those never made it to the screen, ultimately amounting to a disjointed and incomplete film. Bahl also responded to rumors about the hurdles in shooting, which he said were not created by the actors themselves, whom he went on to praise as committed and professional individuals. “The problems of the film are due to something else, which I don’t want to mention,” he said.
