Tesla Cybertruck Explosion Near Trump Hotel in Las Vegas: One Dead, Seven Injured

A Tesla Cybertruck detonated outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, leaving one person dead and seven injured in a startling occurrence. According to Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill, the explosion happened as the electric car approached the hotel’s glass entryway, resulting in a huge fire and smaller, fireworks-like bursts. The Cybertruck, renowned for its stainless-steel look, is seen on camera parked at the entrance just before the explosion. One person inside the car was declared dead, according to authorities, while seven others were just slightly hurt.

In his response to the event, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that “huge fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck” were most likely the source of the explosion. In his words, the incident was “unrelated to the vehicle itself.” Additionally, Musk stated that “We’ve never seen anything like this” and that Tesla’s leadership staff is carrying out a comprehensive inquiry. Authorities evacuated the Trump International Hotel as they investigated the situation. Sheriff McMahill stated that all essential measures are being taken to guarantee community safety, even if the cause of the explosion is still being investigated.

The event was reported to President Joe Biden, who instructed government agencies to offer any necessary support. He had just received an update on a different car-ramming assault that had killed ten people in New Orleans earlier that day. While acknowledging the incident in New Orleans, McMahill did not explicitly connect it to the explosion in Las Vegas. The police, federal authorities, and Tesla are attempting to learn the facts about this concerning incident. As more information becomes available, Musk has pledged to provide updates.
