Revanth Reddy’s ‘One Year Left’ Reminder to PM Modi Echoes ‘Retirement at 75’ Policy Critique

Revanth Reddy’s ‘One Year Left’ Reminder to PM Modi Echoes ‘Retirement at 75’ Policy Critique

Telangana state minister Revanth Reddy questioned on Saturday if Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be subject to the same regulation when he reaches the 75-year-old mark, despite the BJP’s “retirement at 75” policy, which he said pushed LK Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi to quit. “He has determined that an elected person in the BJP must retire at the age of 75. In this manner, he has made choices against senior leaders, Murali Manohar Joshi and LK Advani, with force. There is just one year remaining before Narendra Modi turns 74. It’s the exact thing I would like to ask Narendra Modi. At seventy-five, are you prepared to retire?” Reddy stated this during a news briefing.

After ousting BRS chairman K. Chandrashekar Rao from office earlier this year, Revanth Reddy was appointed chief minister. He stated that PM Modi’s borrowing of ₹113 lakh crore was the reason the country was devastated. “There’s one issue I want to bring up with you. Fourteen prime ministers, spanning nearly 67 years, borrowed 55 lakh crores between 1947 and 2014. 113 lakh crores were borrowed by PM Modi. He destroyed this nation. The nation is currently in a crisis. He must accept accountability. We will therefore not accept any documentation he submits since he will stop at nothing to win an election. He lacks credibility and honesty,” he said.

This occurs amid the ongoing sniping match between Revanth Reddy and PM Modi in the Lok Sabha elections. The chief campaigner for the Bharatiya Janata Party, PM Modi, has been charging the Telangana administration with taking bribes, a move he refers to as the “RR tax.” There has been talk of a double ‘R’ tax in Telangana ever since the Congress took office. Delhi is represented by one ‘R’, and Telangana by another. Telangana and Hyderabad have become ATMs thanks to them both,” he remarked.

Additionally, he has accused AIMIM of imposing what he dubbed the “razakar tax.” “You are required to bear the triple R tax load here in Hyderabad. This one goes out to Razakars. Old Hyderabad demonstrates how this Razakar tax operates. Long-term supporters of the Congress, BRS, and Majlis MP have not even provided people with basic amenities, according to PM Modi.

Telangana will cast votes in the Lok Sabha elections’ fourth round on May 13. The outcomes will be made public on June 4. LK Advani and MM Joshi, the two leaders of the Ram Janmabhoomi campaign, were accepted into the Margdarshak Mandal after PM Modi was elected. The opposition said that they were ignored. PM Modi awarded Advani the highest civilian distinction in India, the Bharat Ratna, this year.
