Tamilians Disappointed as Kanguva Gets Earlier Morning Shows in Other States
The much awaited movie Kanguva, which stars Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, and Suriya, will be released in theaters on November 14. The Tamil Nadu government has allowed theaters to play five shows a day, but it has limited the earliest showing to 9 am, which is against the preferences of early morning attendees. In an expression of gratitude, KE Gananvel Raja’s Studio Green posted on X (previously Twitter): “#Kanguva is ready to take over theaters in your area with exclusive 9 AM shows for its debut. The Government of Tamil Nadu, thank you.
Kanguva Morning Shows in Tamil Nadu
The government stuck to its stance even though the film’s team had originally asked for a 5 am screening to accommodate fans who were anxious to see the film at daybreak. While adhering to crowd safety and security regulations, the loosened timetable allows a fifth show to conclude by two in the morning. The Tamil Nadu government is still adhering to the post-Pongal 2023 limits on early screenings, even though Kanguva will have early morning presentations in other states, including as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala—some of which will begin as early as 4 am.
Many fans expressed their dissatisfaction, hoping for a show in Tamil Nadu at least at 7 am. The strong fan culture around early screenings for major releases was reflected in comments ranging from “It would be better to request 7 AM shows” to “It would be sad for Tamil Nadu fans.”
Kanguva’s Production Highlights and Plans for Part 2
Kanguva, which was directed by Siva, was edited by the late Nishad Yusuf, had cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy, and music by Devi Sri Prasad. The news of a sequel to the movie has already created excitement. “We have Kanguva 2 on the way,” Suriya recently told the media. Audiences will be left with surprises and questions following Kanguva Part 1’s climax, positioning Kanguva 2 as the next top priority.
