Tamil Actor Jiiva and Wife Supriya in Car Accident; Actor Scolds Passer-by for Unhelpful Comment – Watch Video

Tamil actor Jiiva and his wife Supriya met with a car accident while returning from Salem to Chennai on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred at Kallakurichi in Tamil Nadu but fortunately, both escaped with no major injuries reported DT Next.

Film tracker Manobala confirmed the news on X, posting images and videos of the accident. “Actor #Jiiva met with a car accident at #Kallakurichi.

Despite severe damage to the car, both Jiiva and his wife are safe,” Manobala tweeted. In the images shared, the bonnet of Jiiva’s blue car has been badly damaged. In one video, the visibly disturbed actor is seen trying to call for help and getting angry over a passerby comment.

The accident occurred around 3 pm near the Kanimayoor village when Jiiva’s car rammed into a road divider while trying to avoid hitting a two-wheeler. The couple was then driven down to Chennai in another vehicle. Later, Jiiva confirmed, “Both me and wife are doing fine, nothing to worry.”

Jiiva had recently been in the headlines for his comments on the Justice K Hema Committee report. During an event, the actor reacted to the controversy going around, regarding harassment in the film industry: “We had Me Too part one, now part two has come.

People are openly naming abusers which is wrong. We should create a good atmosphere in the cinema.” When asked more about this, Jiiva clarified thus: “Such issues don’t happen in the Tamil industry; they only happen in Kerala.”

On the work front, Jiiva has an upcoming release with Black, which features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead opposite him. He had recently essayed the role of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Yatra 2 and is gearing up to shoot for Methavi and Kannappa.
