Varun Dhawan and Shashank Khaitan will collaborate once more on Dulhania 3, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, following the triumph of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). The film, which is supported by Karan Johar’s production company, Dharma Productions, stars Janhvi Kapoor as Tulsi Kumari in place of Alia Bhatt, who starred in both of the previous Dulhania series films. Varun will be Sunny Sanskari’s actor.

Produced by Dharma Productions, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, is slated to hit theaters on April 18, 2025.

The film’s title and release date were announced with an accompanying description that said, “Your Sanskari is on his way to collect his (Tulsi emoji) Kumari! This entertaining love story will soon be available on huge screens! On April 18, 2025, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will open in theaters. Following the release of their Nitesh Tiwari-directed film Bawaal in 2023, Varun and Janvi are getting back together again.

Karan’s cryptic post about Janhvi replacing Alia

Karan Johar appeared to respond to a report earlier this year claiming that Janhvi Kapoor would be replacing Alia Bhatt, who starred in both Dulhania films, in Dulhania 3. He requested that the media “not speculate about” the future movie.
