Arvind Kejriwal to Unveil Truth in ‘So-Called Delhi Liquor Scam’ Tomorrow: Wife Sunita Kejriwal

Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of jailed Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, announced on Wednesday that her husband would provide a thorough response to the court on Thursday, March 28, on the “so-called Delhi liquor scam.” There was a brief press conference by Sunita Kejriwal. Sunita Kejriwal and Arvind Kejriwal met earlier on Tuesday night at the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) office. Regarding the water and sewer issues in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal wrote a letter to Atishi, the water minister, two days ago.

The national government launched legal action against him. Do they intend to obliterate Delhi? Do they wish for people to continue to suffer? This deeply hurts Arvind Kejriwal. The ED has carried out more than 250 raids in connection with the alleged booze scam. They are looking for the proceeds of this purported fraud. So far, they have not discovered anything. On March 28, Arvind Kejriwal promised to disclose everything in court. He’ll disclose the location of the liquor scam’s funds. He’ll also offer evidence. stated Sunita Kejriwal.

About the now-scarce Delhi excise policy case linked to a money laundering case, the ED arrested Kejriwal on March 21. The next day, the ED remanded Kejriwal until March 28. The lawsuit concerns purported anomalies and money laundering in the formulation and execution of the Delhi excise policy case 2022, which was subsequently abandoned. The issue started because of a report that Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinai Kumar Saxena received from Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar in July 2022, which mentioned purported procedural errors in the policy’s creation.

According to the audit, “arbitrary and unilateral decisions” made by Sisodia during his tenure as the Excise Minister led to “financial losses to the exchequer” that were estimated to be worth over ₹580 crore. After the CBI received this report, Sisodia was taken into custody. Arvind Kejriwal’s name initially surfaced in the ED’s chargesheet, wherein the agency claimed that he allegedly spoke to one of the main accused, Sameer Mahendru, in a video call and asked him to continue working with co-accused and AAP communications-in-charge Vijay Nair. This is even though Kejriwal was not named in the Federal Bureau of Investigation or the ED’s FIRs filed in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.
