“Started Saving For Your Car…”: Bengaluru Techie’s Final Heartfelt Words For 4-Year-Old Son
The Bengaluru engineer wrote a touching farewell to his 4-year-old kid, who lives with Atul’s estranged wife, Nikita Singhania, in a 24-page note he left behind before his sad suicide death. In this heartfelt letter, Atul shared his innermost suffering and introspection, expressing his hope that his kid will one day “be wise enough to understand” what he was thinking. A broader discussion on men’s lives and the difficulties they encounter during divorce and separation was sparked by the paper, which was distributed via a Google Drive link and disclosed Atul’s anguish, personal insights, and allegations.
Atul thought back on their connection and the agonizing separation in his last words to his son, admitting that he had last seen him when he was just a year old and didn’t even recall his son’s appearance. When I first saw you, son, I believed that I could sacrifice myself for you at any moment. But regrettably, you are the reason I am surrendering my life. It wasn’t until I saw photos of you when you were a year old that I even recognized your face. Now, the only thing I feel about you is a slight ache every now and again. You feel like a kind of blackmail now, and I will continue to be extorted by it. The fact is that you feel like a mistake I made, even though it would pain you,” Atul stated in his heartbreaking letter.
Atul’s annoyances with the court system and the demands made of him by his estranged wife were also addressed in the letter, which went viral. According to him, he was mandated to pay ₹80,000 a month for his wife and kid; his estranged wife requested that this amount be increased to ₹2 lakh. “It’s depressing that this callous system can make a child a liability and a burden for the father,” Atul wrote, adding that he was aware that many fathers who were alienated from their children felt the same way. According to the FIR, Atul’s wife had made several false accusations against him and demanded ₹3 crore to resolve the issue. She was also reportedly asking ₹30 lakh for letting him see his baby.
Atul wrote that he was skeptical that his son would ever fully comprehend the responsibility of a parent. I am fully aware of what a father is, though. It is an honor to have him. I am proud of him. A father’s and son’s relationship is indescribable and difficult to describe. Now, however, there’s little need to explain. I’m never going to be known to you. With you, I wish I could have been,” Atul wrote. He expressed his annoyance with the feminist movement as well, saying that it had lost its way and was destroying “everything of value.”

Atul’s last request was for his kid to keep in mind that he owed no one anything. You should not trust society. Be skeptical of the system. The system and society want to take you away. If my blood is still there in you, you will live, love, fight, create beautiful things, and use your intellect to solve issues. Atul’s passing has sparked discussions on the difficulties experienced by divorced dads, societal pressures, and men’s mental health, leading to demands for a more encouraging atmosphere for those going through similar experiences.
