Somy Ali Requests Zoom Call with Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Sparking Controversy

Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend and former Bollywood star Somy Ali has sparked controversy with a recent social media post directed at imprisoned mobster Lawrence Bishnoi, whose group has threatened the actor on several occasions. Ali posted a photo of Bishnoi to Instagram, calling him “Lawrence Bhai,” or “brother,” and saying she wanted to video call him.

Ali wrote in her article, “This is a direct message to Lawrence Bishnoi,” that she would like to visit Bishnoi’s temple in Rajasthan. Greetings, brother Lawrence, You are making Zoom calls from jail, I’ve heard and seen. I’d like to speak to you. Before we go to your temple in Rajasthan for worship, let’s have a Zoom call. Could you please provide your mobile number? Much obliged.

Ali made this statement in response to the recent killing of Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and Salman Khan associate, which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for. As a result of the gang’s overt targeting of everyone associated with Khan, the actor’s security has increased.

In 2018, at a trial in Jodhpur, Lawrence Bishnoi said, “We will kill Salman Khan.” This was the start of the dangerous fight among Bishnoi and Khan. This aggression originates from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which Salman Khan was accused of the homicide of the endangered animal, which is exceptionally esteemed by the Rajasthani Bishnoi population.
Over the years, the Bishnoi gang has threatened Salman Khan several times. The most disturbing occasion occurred in April when Bishnoi’s partners, who were in the end captured, supposedly terminated, adjusted outside his Bandra home.

Currently incarcerated in Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Jail, Lawrence Bishnoi faces multiple charges, including smuggling weapons, extortion, and murder. Despite efforts by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to dissolve it, his gang, which has ties to terror networks, is still active in several states. Bishnoi has also been charged with transporting firearms from Pakistan and connected to the outlawed organization Babbar Khalsa International.

The ongoing conflict between Salman Khan and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been exacerbated by the issue over Somy Ali’s comments.
