Shreya Ghoshal Reaction to Alia Bhatt’s Version of ‘Samjhawan’ Sparks Discussion on Actors Singing for Films

Shreya Ghoshal, an Indian vocalist with versatility, turned 40 on Tuesday. She has contributed her voice to numerous songs throughout the years. In a 2017 interview with SpotboyE, Shreya discussed her thoughts about actors performing songs in motion pictures. She talked about experiencing something similar with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’s Samjhawan.

Shreya spoke about Alia’s Samjhawan

It was posed to Shreya whether she found it offensive that performers would belt out a song for the sake of the movie’s publicity. The only time it had happened to her was with Samjhawan from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. I know people do it to advance in their careers. It doesn’t negatively affect me. It could just be to make the registers ring. On the other hand, Shreya and Arijit would likely come to mind when someone thinks of the song. The audience is aware, as are the director, producer, and cast, that Alia provided her vocals for the film’s promotion.

Shreya spoke about other female singers

She has also shared her thoughts regarding the similarity in the sound of female vocalists to herself. “As long as our music is excellent, that’s okay. I have consistently offered nascent artists my sincere encouragement. I occasionally pick up my phone and make it a point to express my appreciation for the musician if I hear a song and I can get in touch with them. That’s what Sunidhi Chauhan and I have done on numerous occasions. “I don’t mind if people borrow ideas from me as long as they eventually find their voice,” the woman stated.
