Shekhar Suman Reaches Out to Kangana Ranaut After Political Move, Reflects on Adhyayan Breakup

Shekhar Suman recently spoke with Kangana Ranaut about his son Adhyayan Suman’s relationship. Shekhar talked candidly about Kangana and Adhyayan’s breakup in a Zoom interview, pointing out that they were going through distinct stages of life. In addition, he discussed his thoughts on Kangana entering politics by running as a Mandi candidate for the BJP in the next Lok Sabha election.

In a 2023 interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shekhar was asked why he felt that Kangana and Adhyayan could not be held responsible for their separation. He responded, “I mean, these relationships happen, and nobody wants to sort of have a relationship and just break up and go on… When they were together, Kangana and Adhyayan were content, but after that, they went their separate ways. It was meant to be. There shouldn’t be any animosity or hostility toward one another. Things do occasionally happen in the excitement of the moment. But one ought to constantly remember the past with nostalgia.

‘We are not holding on to anything at all’

Shekhar appeared to reach out to the star when asked if he would have preferred to mend fences with Kangana after she joined the BJP, a party that we also support. He declared, “There is nothing at all that we are holding onto. Adhyayan and the family were excluded. I don’t think discussing it is worthwhile. That was only a phase, I said. After it occurs, it ends.”

Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman’s relationship

2008–2009 saw a brief romantic relationship between Adhyayan and Kangana. Additionally, they collaborated on the 2009 movie Raaz: The Mystery Continues. After a contentious split, he even accused her of trying to sway him in a number of statements. Adhyayan said that during their year-long relationship, Kangana was a violent girlfriend who made his life “hellish.”

Adhyayan revealed in 2023 why he disclosed the reason behind his breakup with Kangana “not in 2009, but in 2017,” which was about eight years after their romance ended. The actor claimed he “faced backlash” for discussing his separation in public during an interview, but he had no regrets.
