Shark Tank India Makers Address Deepinder Goyal’s Exit from Reality Show Amid Speculation
Shark Tank India’s creators have finally responded to the issue surrounding Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato, who was forced to leave the show amid a lot of internet rumors. Anupam Mittal of People Group, Aman Gupta of boAt Lifestyle, Namita Thapar of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Peyush Bansal of Lenskart, and Ritesh Agarwal of OYO were among the sharks on the panel as Shark Tank India Season 4 recently began filming. The newest shark to join the panel was Viraj Bahl, founder and managing director of Veeba.
The sharks were questioned if they were concerned about this trend in an interview with India Today. “I am just happy,” Viraj Bahl said. Deepinder gaya toh mere ko jagah mil gaya (I obtained this position since Deepinder went). I may send Zomato a thank-you message. Additionally, not everything that appears in newspapers is accurate, according to Danish Khan, Business Head of Sony LIV and StudioNext. At some time, we would like to have him (Deepinder). It is important to realize that there are variations in the availability of the sharks, and there are around 50 episodes. We allow them to spend weekends with us even though they are all quite busy managing their enterprises. There is no such thing as reported, but I won’t reveal too much. We want to see some of the sharks that have been on the show for four seasons again.
“There’s nothing like this,” asserted Aman Gupta, co-founder and chief marketing officer of boAt. I am the ideal illustration. Despite not being a sponsor, I have been on this show for the past four seasons. Therefore, I will never claim that the creators did this for financial gain. I’m grateful that they picked us and turned us into sharks. I can attest to this and attest in writing that I have not made any payments. Being here is a lovely sensation, and I hope it lasts. There will always be change—hopefully, except me (laughs)—and sharks will come and go. However, this is life.
Deepinder Goyal, who debuted as a shark in Season 3 of the show, discussed his thoughts on public appearances at the ET Startup Awards. “Shark Tank… I actually went there in order to India’s startup culture places too much emphasis on theatrics, valuations, and other such factors. I just went there to alter the way people think about startups and to build a different narrative by being honest. All I did was go to work. I felt compelled to visit there at least once for moral reasons. I only did it once, throughout one weekend. It has been a long time since I visited. I merely spent a weekend shooting, shared my thoughts on how companies should be developed, and then left,” Deepinder Goyal stated.

“You are not going back?” journalist Samidha Sharma questioned. “I’m afraid I can’t return because Swiggy sponsored Shark Tank this time and kicked me out,” Deepinder said, “at least that’s what I heard.” Together with Aashish Solanki, actress, and Internet celebrity Sahiba Bali will host the program, contributing their enthusiasm and charm. “Shark Tank India 4,” which has new presenters and sharks, is expected to include creative concepts, intense negotiations, and motivational business adventures.
