Shah Rukh Khan Reveals His Dream to Die on a Film Set: “They Say Cut, and Then I Don’t Get Up…”
The king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, never neglects to captivate crowds with his unmatched charisma and commitment to performing. In a new meeting with the Locarno Film Celebration, where he got a Lifetime Achievement Award, Khan joked that he might want to “go on a film set” for the rest of his life, communicating his desire to keep going about as long as he lives.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Acting Philosophy
Khan discussed his thoughts on acting in the interview, making it clear that he does not perceive himself as a “serious actor.” Rather, he enjoys entertaining others and seizes the chance to celebrate life through his characters. He recognized the dedication and diligence needed to be successful in the field.
He joyfully replied, “Will I act forever?” when asked if he would like to perform forever. Yes, until the day I pass away. My life’s ambition is to be told to take action before I pass away. When they say “cut,” I remain motionless. Please, it’s finished now? “No, until you all say it’s okay,” I respond. I would love to act forever, yes.
Stardom vs Acting
Shah Rukh Khan clarified his thoughts on popularity in the same interview, setting it apart from his craft. “I’ve never considered stardom to be anything significant,” he said. Yes, I greatly admire it. It has brought me money, love, and recognition. It brings happiness to my family. However, in addition to that, I don’t carry stardom with me when I enter a room. Instead of wearing a tuxedo, I wear stardom like a T-shirt. It doesn’t matter.
