Salman Khan’s Viral Comment on Blackbuck Case: “I Wasn’t the One Who Shot…”

In 1998, Salman Khan was accused of poaching blackbucks in Rajasthan, together with his Hum Saath-Saath Hain co-stars Sonali Bendre, Tabu, and Saif Ali Khan. Throughout the 26-year legal battle, Salman has been arrested, released on bond, acquitted, and then released once again. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who revere blackbucks and have called on Salman to apologize for the incident, has also been threatening to kill the actor recently.

Salman denied shooting the blackbuck in a 2008 interview that resurfaced on social media, especially Reddit, amid ongoing legal disputes and threats. Salman is called a “victim of ignorance” by the interviewer in the video, who claims that she doesn’t think he would have hurt the animal if he had known it was endangered. “There’s a long story there,” Salman replies. Furthermore, I did not shoot the blackbuck.

When asked why he never made accusations against anyone else, Salman casually responds, “There’s no point.” He continued his easygoing demeanor by mockingly calling his time in jail “a lot of fun.” Reddit users are speculating on the veracity of Salman’s involvement in the crime as a result of the unearthed footage. Many of the actor’s followers have defended him and claimed his innocence, despite some internet users questioning his role.
