Rohit Shetty Hints at Chulbul Pandey vs. Singham Film with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn: “It Will Be a Standalone”

One of Bollywood’s most well-liked franchises is Rohit Shetty’s police world, which is anchored by Ajay Devgn’s iconic Bajirao Singham. Almost ten years have passed since Devgn first portrayed the ferocious police officer, a part that continues to be a favorite among fans. By implying that two of Bollywood’s most recognizable officers—Devgn’s Singham and Salman Khan’s Chulbul Pandey—might appear in a stand-alone movie, Shetty has now rekindled interest. Salman recently delighted fans by making an appearance as Chulbul in Shetty’s most recent hit song, Singham Again.

The possibility of Singham and Pandey facing off has enthralled audiences for years. In a recent Pinkvilla interview, Shetty teased the public by asking if they would be interested in seeing Singham and Pandey together in a “versus” film. The strong reception from the audience validated the film’s popularity. Even Ajay Devgn couldn’t help but smile when he saw how well these beloved personalities complemented one another. “I was aware of it,” Devgn said.

Shetty explained that although there is a lot of excitement, any preparations for a Singham-Chulbul crossover are still in the early phases. “Just a week has passed since the release of Singham Again,” he said jokingly. Give me a little time. Additionally, he pointed out that if such a movie were to be made, it would take place outside of his current police reality. Shetty affirmed, “It must be standalone,” but she also mentioned that the idea would require time to develop.

The character of Chulbul Pandey is part of a different franchise that is developed by Salman Khan’s brother, Arbaaz Khan, even though Shetty’s cop universe centers around Singham. Anticipation for this possible crossover was sparked by a post-credit scene in Singham Again that teased Chulbul’s entrance into Shetty’s world.

Meanwhile, Devgn reprises his role as Singham in Singham Again, which opened in theaters on November 1. Newcomers Arjun Kapoor plays the antagonist, and Deepika Padukone plays Lady Singham. The film continues Shetty’s action-packed story, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats with cameos from Akshay Kumar’s Veer Suryavanshi and Ranveer Singh’s Simmba.
