Rishabh Pant to Receive Fitness Clearance from NCA Ahead of IPL 2024 On This Date

The captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC) and pro wicketkeeper-hitter Rishabh Pant is supposed to acquire a fitness clearance on March 5th to return in time for the IPL 2024, which starts on March 22. Reports state that on March 5, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) medical staff may grant the dashing DC batter a fitness NOC, allowing him to return to cricket responsibilities in the next annual T20 carnival.

After many injuries and surgery for bruises sustained in a near-fatal vehicle accident in December 2022, Pant has been training relentlessly to maintain optimal fitness standards.

Pant’s car broke apart after colliding with the divider at the Delhi-Roorkee Highway while he was driving alone to surprise his mother at his family’s Delhi home at midnight. The cricket player had numerous injuries, and in order to recover consciousness and get back on his feet, he needed prompt and ongoing medical attention.

Never one to give up, though, the temperamentally strong person has been working out more in the gym ever since he was given the go-ahead to take off the braces he was using to walk short distances.

Pant’s knee, which was the most severely injured area of his body after the collision, has needed close observation and rehabilitation under the guidance of physiotherapists and NCA medical personnel. The match-winning cricketer, though, appears ready for a return and may be allowed to re-join the Capitals team on March 5, just in time for the franchise’s March 23 IPL 2024 opener against the Punjab Kings (PBKS).
