Rhea Singha from Gujarat Crowned Miss Universe India 2024 with Taj Mahal Crown by Urvashi Rautel
Rhea Singha, who hails from Gujarat, was crowned Miss Universe India 2024 at the competition’s finale in Jaipur, Rajasthan, this Sunday. The 19-year-old will now go on to represent her country at the global Miss Universe pageant.
On Instagram, she describes herself as a “TEDx Speaker | Actor.” Speaking after her win, an overjoyed Rhea told ANI news agency: “I am grateful to have been crowned Miss Universe India 2024 today. I feel very thankful; I have put a lot of effort in to get this far and believe that I am deserving of the title. I am incredibly inspired by all the former winners.”
During the pageant’s final moments, Rhea looked stunning in a glittering peach-gold gown. She owned the stage during the swimsuit competition in a bold metallic red bikini. And for her costume, she rocked the crowd in white, red, and yellow—complete with veil—while cradling a Shivling.
The Taj Mahal crown placed on Rhea’s head was no ordinary headpiece; it was presented by Urvashi Rautela, Miss Universe India 2015, who also sat on the judging panel. Hoping India takes home this year’s title at Miss Universe (an event where simply stating “pageant” will confuse), Rautela said backstage, “I understand exactly what these girls are going through… The top five are phenomenal individuals who will make our country proud.

Again, I wish with all my heart that we can do something great. Every one of them has worked so hard, been so dedicated, and of course, is unbelievably beautiful.” Now, with an eye toward Miss Universe 2024, there is much prep work to be done for Ms. She will spend hours training as always but also need new evening gowns designed for swimsuits ordered from overseas, plus national costumes created specially again!
