Report Reveals Sanjay Roy Harassed Another Woman Before Doctor’s Rape and Murder, Demanded Nudes from Girlfriend

Sanjay Roy, the main accused in the brutal case of raping and murdering a 31-year-old doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, admitted to the crime in the polygraph test conducted on Sunday.

According to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Roy admitted that he went to one of the red light areas close to his college with one of his close friends just a few minutes before the incident, although he denied performing any kind of sexual activities.

Roy also confessed to the police that in the past, he had sexually assaulted someone even on the road, the India Today story revealed. When investigation took place, it was found that Roy had also made a video call to his girlfriend, demanding pictures in the nude.

Then a drinking spree kicked off the crime night when Roy and a friend hit a bar before heading to the red-light area at Chetla, in south Kolkata. According to local reports, Roy reportedly molested a girl in the area.

He then returned to the hospital, where Roy had tried entering a corridor near the seminar hall, which is located next to the casualty department at approximately 4:03 am. It was in this spot the he had raped and murdered the lady doctor. Roy later paid a visit to his friend and a police personnel Anupam Dutta.

While Roy’s polygraph results were deceptive, his psychoanalytic profile from CBI published his extreme porn addiction, with countless video clips available on his mobile.

The victim had taken refuge in the seminar hall and was found dead with 25 injuries on her body, smothered to death. Also under the scanner is the former principal of the medical college, Dr. Sandip Ghosh, who was put through a lie-detector on Saturday.

The delay of more than 12 hours in registering the FIR, recently probed into by the Supreme Court through the Kolkata Police, further put his role in the case into scrutiny. Talking about his role, there have also been suggestions that Dr. Ghosh tried to paint it as a suicide. The agency is also investigating charges of financial impropriety against Dr. Ghosh.
