India’s most famous business magnate, Ratan Tata, passed away. Shantanu Naidu, the youngest general manager at Tata Trust and Ratan Tata’s dependable aide, shared a farewell post that said, “Grief is the price to pay for love.” After a brief illness, 86-year-old veteran industrialist and Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata passed away late on Wednesday. Due to a sharp decrease in blood pressure, he was rushed to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Monday and was in serious condition in the intensive care unit.
Shantanu Naidu, the closest aide to Tata, wrote a reflection on his intimate association with the national icon on LinkedIn. I shall dedicate the rest of my life to attempting to replace the void that this friendship has now created in my life. The price you pay for love is grief. The 30-year-old said, “Goodbye, my dear lighthouse,” and included a picture of the two of them from a throwback. Who Is Shantanu Naidu?
Naidu was raised in Pune and graduated in 2014 with a degree in engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University. In 2016, he went on to study for a Master of Business Administration at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. Naidu started working as an automotive design engineer at Tata Elxsi in Pune after completing his schooling. In May 2022, 29-year-old Shantanu Naidu started working for Ratan Tata. He gained notoriety when a video of him celebrating Ratan Tata’s birthday went viral on social media, winning over Tata’s ardent followers all over the nation. Tata has treated Naidu like a son and accepted him as a valued and closest part of his circle, despite the fact that he is single and has no children of his own.

How Did Tata Meet Naidu?
During his time at Tata Elxsi, Shantanu raised the concern over dog fatalities caused by fast-moving cars. Inspired and driven to find a solution, he came up with the concept of “dog collars,” which would improve their nighttime visibility on roadways even in the absence of streetlights. To secure backing for his extraordinary enterprise, Naidu wrote to Tata outlining his proposed business plan. Notably, Tata asked Naidu to a meeting to discuss the creative endeavor in addition to responding to him. Their friendship began on this occasion when they first met.
