Ranveer Singh Takes Legal Action: Files FIR Against Social Media Account Promoting Deepfake Video
The social media account that was promoting actor Ranveer Singh’s AI-generated deepfake video has been the target of an official complaint. According to his representative, Ranveer filed an FIR and police report so that the Cyber Crime Cell may look into the matter further. This action was taken in the days following the actor’s deep-fake video going viral on social media.
What step has Ranveer taken over his fake video?
“Yes, we have filed the police complaint, and an FIR has been lodged against the handle that was promoting the AI-generated deepfake video of Mr. Ranveer Singh,” a representative for Ranveer stated. The actor is allegedly heard discussing his political beliefs in the fake video. The audio is an artificial intelligence (AI) vocal clone of Ranveer, even if the video, which shows the actor during a recent trip to Varanasi, looks real.
How did it all start?
Recently, the actor stole the limelight at an outdoor fashion exhibition in Varanasi along the Ganga. Manish Malhotra, a fashion designer, organized the event. Ranveer shared his ‘divine’ impression of the city and talked highly of the improvements made to the public infrastructure during his stay.
