Ranjan Chandel Exits ‘The Sabarmati Report’ Over Creative Differences

Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra starrer The Sabarmati Report was set to deliver on August 2, 2024. Nonetheless, late reports recommended that the movie has gone into reshoot, with its chief, Ranjan Chandel, having gotten out of the film. Affirming something similar to us, Chandel uncovers, “I took this choice all alone to move away from the film.”

According to making sense of the explanation for his choice, the chief said, “I shot the total film; however, at that point, there were not many thoughts by the producers that were not for reshoots yet augmentations in the film. I disagreed with those changes, as the film manages a delicate subject. Anyway, the producers needed them, so I chose to move away from it. There were these innovative contrasts between me and the creators, which I disagreed with, and I was unable to make the film with those changes.”

The Sabarmati Report recounts the narrative of the Godhra train-consuming episode that happened on the morning of February 27, 2002, on the Sabarmati Express train. A total of 59 Hindu travelers and karsevaks getting back from Ayodhya were killed in a fire inside the train close to the Godhra rail route station in the territory of Gujarat. The episode was a consequence of strict uproars; notwithstanding, the reason for it has remained questioned to date.

Chandel adds, “Reports that the progressions are being made after the film went to CBFC for confirmation and they proposed those changes, and hence the film is getting delayed. Nonetheless, that isn’t accurate in any way.”
