Rajkummar Rao Credits Shah Rukh Khan as Key Inspiration for His Acting Career

Recently, talented actor Rajkummar Rao opened up about how, for his interest in acting, one of his main motivations had been the Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan.

The super emotional revelation came after a video of the King Khan reciting Rajkummar’s famous “Vicky please” line went viral, further perpetuating the special connection between these two actors.

Answering an IANS query he had, Rajkummar said: “It’s a great feeling. I’ve always looked up to Shah Rukh Khan. I have paid homage to him in ‘Stree 1’, and I will do it again in ‘Stree 2.’

When someone like him quotes my line, then it’s just…I mean, it cannot get better. He’s been a big reason for me to become an actor.

Rajkummar was asked about his personal star and inspiration. He said, “Shah Rukh Khan will always be my star. Anyone who delivers an exceptional performance and touches my heart is someone I look up to.

Released last week, Rajkummar’s latest film, “Stree 2,” directed by Amar Kaushik, has been the blockbuster film business, making Rs 510 crore within 11 days, leaving far behind Hrithik Roshan’s “Fighter,” which had earned Rs 337.20 crores worldwide.

Talking about his approach toward acting, Rajkummar had said, “I don’t overthink it. Try to be honest with my character and have fun with it. May be, that what resonates on screen.”

He was quick to point out he it paid off and how: “I always strive to push myself with every character and every film.”. It is through these performances that Rajkummar has continuously revealed dedication and authenticity, making him today one of the most credible actors in Bollywood.
