Rahul Gandhi Slams BJP After Doda Encounter: ‘Soldiers Bearing the Brunt of…’
The Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, responded to the news on Tuesday that four Indian troops had died while performing their duties in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, by saying that the soldiers and their families had been the victims of the BJP’s improper policies. In another terrorist incident in Jammu and Kashmir today, one of our men lost his life. I offer the martyrs my humble homage and send the bereaved families my sincere sympathies. The sequence of these horrifying events is deeply depressing and unsettling. Jammu and Kashmir’s crumbling state is reflected in the ongoing acts of terrorism. The fault of the BJP rests in the policies that our soldiers and their families are suffering under. Every patriotic Indian demands that the government accept full responsibility for the ongoing security failings and take hard measures against the nation’s offenders as well as the troops. He posted in Hindi on X, “The nation is united against terrorism in this hour of grief.”
On Tuesday morning in Doda, four soldiers, including an Army officer, lost their lives while performing their duties. The Congress accused the BJP-led Central government of failing to maintain peace and order in the union territory, citing 11 terror attacks in the Jammu and Kashmir area in 78 days. In Jammu alone, there have been 11 terror incidents in the previous 78 days. This is an entirely novel occurrence. In addition to showcasing a cross-party, effective coordinated reaction, we also need to address the question of “whatever became of all those lofty claims made by the self-styled Chanakya and the self-anointed non-biological PM?” Jairam Ramesh stated.
Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of the Congress, asserted that the Modi administration has been conducting affairs in the union territory as if nothing has changed. “Greatly saddened by the sacrifice of four courageous Army men, one of them was an officer, during a terror attack in Doda, Jammu & Kashmir. The families of our courageous soldiers who lost their life to save Bharat Mata have our deepest sympathies. We wish every everyone who has been harmed a speedy and complete recovery. It is vital to denounce these cowardly terrorists’ murderous deeds with clarity and vigor. Our security plan has to be carefully reevaluated in light of the wave of terror assaults that have swept through Jammu and Kashmir over the last 36 days.

The Modi administration presents the image that nothing has changed and that “business as usual” is continuing. They have to be aware that the Jammu and Kashmir area is progressively suffering from terrorist attacks. We cannot risk our national security by engaging in loudspeaker whitewashing, phony narratives, and false bluster. The menace of cross-border terrorism is something that requires our nation to tackle together. “The President of the Indian National Congress posted on X, expressing the Congress’s strong support for our brave armed forces.” After a firefight in the Dessa area on Monday night, the Army and the Jammu and Kashmir police together began a campaign to root out terrorists. Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, was briefed about the Doda encounter by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi today.
