Pune Tragedy: Truck Runs Over Footpath Sleepers, Killing 2 Kids and 1 Adult
Two children and a man were killed in a tragic accident in Pune, Maharashtra, early Monday morning after a truck plowed over a gathering of people who were sleeping on a pavement, according to police. Six more people were hurt and sent to Sassoon General Hospital for medical attention.
A vehicle ran over a big group of people, mostly laborers, who were sleeping on the sidewalk near Kesnand Phata at around 12:30 in the morning. A senior police officer stated that Vishal Pawar, 22, Vaibhav Pawar, 2, and Vaibhavi Pawar, 1 are the victims.
Specialists are investigating whether the driver was affected by alcohol at the hour of the crash, and he has been set collared.
Mumbai SUV Incident Claims a Child’s Life
Aayush Kinawade, age four, was killed in a separate incident on Saturday night when he was crushed by a speeding SUV in the Wadala neighborhood of Mumbai. The family lived in a temporary shack on the sidewalk across from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College, and the child’s father, Laxman Kinawade, is a worker.
Police said the collision happened when the 19-year-old driver of a Hyundai Creta made a U-turn close to the boy’s house. The owner of the vehicle summoned the driver to come get her after she had parked the automobile outside the hut. The youngster went beneath the left front wheel during the move, an officer clarified.
Kurla BEST Bus Tragedy
These instances come after a BEST bus crashed into people in Mumbai’s Kurla neighborhood on December 9. Nine people have died because of the tragedy so far, and various others are at present getting care.
