Priyanka Chopra’s Return to Mumbai’s Film City Sparks Buzz About New Bollywood Project

Global diva Priyanka Chopra is in India to be a part of her brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding, but it seems the actress has much more on her platter this time. Recently, PeeCee gave an inkling of her work commitments in India and teased her return to the iconic Film City of Mumbai after a long hiatus from her sabbatical. This moving has attracted much speculation over a new Bollywood venture, hence leaving fans and media abuzz.

On Monday, she posted an Instagram story with a throwback video from the inside of her car in which she captured the moment she entered Film City. And tinkering with feelings, she captioned the post with a song: “Ghar Aaja Pardesi,” from Sunny Deol’s Gadar, because the emotional connect just seemed right to return to the heart of Bollywood. The post is marked with crying and laughing emojis, affirming the emotions she went through after stepping back into Bollywood’s world of Hindi cinema.

Reports are doing the rounds that the actress might be here in connection with a proposed visit to the Film City for a recce of locations for her upcoming production venture, Paani, directed by none other than Addinath M. Kothare himself, who also stars in her movie now facing an October 18 release. However, the biggest question everyone has on their mind is whether Priyanka is also shooting for a new Bollywood project. The actress was last associated with the much-awaited film Jee Le Zaraa, which was to be presented alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, but reportedly, due to date issues, she opted out of the project.

Priyanka’s return to India coincides with the wedding celebrations of her brother, Siddharth Chopra. In the typical Priyanka way, she made her share of headlines over the week with the stunning outfits at the celebrations.

While for one of the functions she sizzled in a pink saree with enough bling to make Barbiecore seem drab, in the other, she was seen moving around in a more boho get-up—setting an orange suit with golden threadwork and embroidery; some sequins include kadhai work that enhances.

She also stars in an action comedy called Heads of State by Ilya Naishuller, alongside John Cena and Idris Elba. As fans wait desperately for more updates, this return of Priyanka Chopra at Film City has definitely created excitement and curiosity toward her next move in Bollywood.
