Oscars 2024: Ukrainian Film Wins Best Documentary Feature With Support From Priyanka Chopra’s “To Kill a Tiger”

Priyanka Chopra supported the narrative film To Slaughter a Tiger, which missed out on a win at the 96th Foundation Grants. The film was awarded Best Narrative Include Film. The film misplaced the Oscar grant for the Ukrainian film 20 Days in Mariupol. Priyanka had come on board of To Murder a Tiger some time ago at the Oscars ceremony.

She was marked as an official maker through her generation house, Purple Stone Pictures. For the uninitiated, To Murder a Tiger was coordinated by Nisha Pahuja and spun around a sexual ambush survivor in India. Talking with Individuals Magazine, Priyanka Chopra opened up about backing the film.

“I look for and join myself to work that truly pushes the discussions of issues that I feel near to or enthusiastic about, and sexual viciousness against ladies unquestionably is one of them,” she said. “In India, we say one-third of ladies in India have experienced sexual viciousness, and that measurement has to be higher since of underreporting,” she included. “The film talks to not only fair survivors but their partners as well, men supporting ladies.

It’s exceptionally curious to have a window into that and to see how a father battles his whole community, the equity framework, against what he’s told is the standard for his daughter’s rights,” Priyanka said. Meanwhile, filmmaker Mstyslav Chernov got passionate as he acknowledged the Best Narrative Highlight. Passionate after the win, the filmmaker said, “I am respected, but I will likely be the first to begin with the chief on this organization to say that I wish I had never made this film.” He confessed he wished he might trade the win with ‘Russia never assaulting Ukraine, never attacking our cities. I wish to be able to trade this for Russians not slaughtering 10,000 of my individual Ukrainians.” He said he wished he seemed to trade the respect for ‘ releasing the hostages’.
