Prajwal Revanna Interrogated After Arrest; SIT Considers Potency Test

Shortly after his detention at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigators questioned suspended Janata Dal (Secular) leader Prajwal Revanna, who is suspected of sexually abusing women in hundreds of filthy films. After arriving back from Germany this morning, Hassan MP, 33, was brought to the CID office to be questioned.

The politician would be put to a potency test by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was established by the Karnataka government led by Congress to look into hundreds of purportedly sexually graphic movies starring Prajwal Revanna, according to a to a report. Soon after his former domestic helper filed a case of sexual harassment against him last month, Prajwal Revanna left the country. A complaint was lodged in Karnataka, which is about to have elections, a few days after the videos went viral.

Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s nephew, Prajwal Revanna, is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. HD Revanna, the father of the Hassan MP, was detained earlier this month on suspicion of kidnapping a woman who was supposedly in one of his son’s claimed recordings. Bail has been granted, and he is free. Prajwal Revanna and his mother Bhavani Revanna’s requests for anticipatory bail will be heard by a special Karnataka court today.

In three incidences of alleged sexual abuse, Prajwal is named. Meanwhile, in the kidnapping case, his mother has requested bail. The news agency reports that although Revanna’s mother is not charged in this case, SIT may look into her involvement. His whereabouts were the subject of a Blue Corner Notice issued by the Central Bureau of Investigation. His family isn’t publicly supporting Revanna. But HD Kumaraswamy has accused DK Shivakumar, the deputy chief minister, of being responsible for the films’ dissemination.

AHD Deve Gowda has ordered Prajwal Revanna to come back to India so that an investigation into the accusations against him can take place. He added that his family would not obstruct the investigation. He insisted that if his grandson was proven guilty, he would receive the worst sentence possible. The suspended JD(S) leader’s attorney, Arun G, stated that he traveled to Bengaluru to offer his assistance to the SIT looking into the claims. In addition, he begged the public to spare him from a trial by the media.
