PM Narendra Modi Tells Vladimir Putin: India Ready to Help Restore Peace in Ukraine Conflict
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Russian President Vladimir Putin one-on-one at the BRICS Summit in Kazan on Tuesday, where he restated his demand for a peaceful settlement of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. “I have been in constant contact with you regarding the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine,” declared Modi. We believe the concerns should be resolved in a friendly manner, as stated earlier.
“All our efforts give priority to humanity,” he said, expressing India’s resolve to help bring about peace and security in the area. India is prepared to offer any assistance that may be required in the future.
Modi is making his second trip to Russia in the last three months. “My two trips to Russia in the past three months demonstrate our close cooperation and strong friendship,” he said. We have improved our cooperation in every area since our Annual Summit in Moscow in July. After 15 years, BRICS has developed a unique identity, and many nations now aspire to join. Tomorrow, I am excited to take part in the BRICS Summit.
What Putin Said During the Bilateral Talks
“I remember we met in July and had a very good discussion on several issues,” President Putin said during the talks, recalling Modi’s previous July visit to Russia. We also had numerous phone conversations. I sincerely appreciate your accepting my invitation to visit Kazan.
