PM Modi’s Thumbs Up at BRICS Summit Dinner with Putin and Xi: A Symbol of Unity After India-China Deal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised a moment of unity between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin during a casual BRICS Summit meal in Kazan when the two leaders were conversing. The growing diplomatic ties between the BRICS countries—China, Russia, and India in particular—are highlighted by this scene.

Images from the summit likewise showed trade between Putin and Modi, with the Russian president giving the Indian leader a firm embrace and handshake, highlighting the two nations’ strong ties. The way that Putin sat among Modi and Xi during the dinner suggested that the three nations were pushing toward more profound diplomatic ties.
The 16th BRICS Summit also prepared the ground for a future bilateral encounter between Modi and Xi, which is planned to happen in Kazan at the summit. According to Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, this conference is an important step in easing the military tensions between the two Asian powers.
