In Pilibhit, PM Modi slams the Congress for ‘insulting’ Lord Ram over the Ayodhya event

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress and INDIA bloc while campaigning for Jitin Prasada, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lok Sabha election candidate, in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit.

• “Mother Yashwantri Devi blessed Pilibhit’s land. Adi Ganga Maa Gomti originated here. Today, on the first day of Navratri, I am also reminding the country of the ‘INDI’ alliance’s promise to destroy’,” PM Modi stated. He went on to state, “The Congress leaders are talking about overthrowing the ‘shakti’ before which we bow our heads.”

• PM Modi chastised the Congress for declining the Ram Temple consecration ceremony. He said, “Congress tried its best to prevent the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, but when the people of the country built such a grand temple by contributing every penny, and when the people of the temple forgave all your sins and invited you for the pran pratishtha, they insulted Lord Ram rejecting the invitation.

“Congress expelled from the party the individuals who went for pran pratishtha for 6 years,” he charged the grand old party.

• The Prime Minister repeated his comparison of the Congress manifesto to that of the Muslim League. “Congress is so mired in appeasement that it will never be able to emerge. “The manifesto prepared by Congress appears to be that of the Muslim League rather than that of Congress,” he stated.

• Prime Minister Modi accused the Congress and its alliance partner, the Samajwadi Party, of insulting Sardar Patel. “Congress and its ‘INDI’ alliance never hesitate to insult the country’s great personalities.

“To date, no major Congress or Samajwadi Party leader has visited the Statue of Unity. “These people travel abroad but do not visit Sardar Patel’s statue in their own country,” he explained.

• “No one can forget what the Congress, with which the ruling Samajwadi Party is standing today, did for our Sikh friends in 1984,” Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, said.

“This is the BJP, which stands alongside the Sikhs with all of its might and works to comprehend their sentiments,” he went on to say.
