PM Modi Calls Maha Vikas Aghadi the ‘Biggest Khiladi in Corruption’ at Maharashtra Rally

At a public gathering in Chimur, Maharashtra, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the opposition coalition of Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar group), and Shiv Sena (UBT) the “biggest player” in corruption. He asserted that by continuously blocking Maharashtra’s advancement, the alliance has denied the state access to vital infrastructure, including as rail connectivity. “For decades, the people here have been asking for rail connectivity, but Congress and the Aghadi parties have stalled it,” Prime Minister Modi said. “These parties are excellent at preventing progress. Since Congress is particularly adept at obstructing, postponing, and misrepresenting advancements, the Aghadi alliance is the leading “khiladi” in corruption.

Referencing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent proposal for a caste census, PM Modi also issued a warning about the Congress’s purported plan to split the tribal community along caste lines. “Congress seeks to divide the Adivasi group in order to undermine it. The power and cohesiveness of the tribal people, which makes up around 10% of the nation, will only be harmed by this polarizing strategy, he continued. During his speech, PM Modi also criticized the Congress for its historical involvement in enforcing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, a law that he claimed let violence and separatist to thrive for decades. Congress left behind Article 370. Modi claimed, “When we revoked it, we fully integrated Kashmir into India, ending years of turmoil.”

PM Modi turned his focus to the Gandhi family, accusing them of being entitled and showing little concern for the advancement of the Dalits, Adivasis, and lower sections. He asserted that the reserve policies that benefited these people had consistently been rejected by Congress. “The Congress questioned the rights of these marginalized communities under Rajiv Gandhi in the 1980s,” Modi said. With the election set for November 20 and the results to be announced on November 23, Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence that the Mahayuti alliance, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, will maintain its hold on power in Maharashtra with a resounding mandate.
