JD(U) Appoints Sanjay Jha as Working President, Calls for Bihar Special Status at Executive Meet

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will remain as the national president of the Janata Dal (United) party, but Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha will take on the role of working president. Since Jha has a close rapport with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership, his appointment as working president is reportedly crucial. It is the Rajya Sabha that he leads for the party.
