Bigg Boss 17 Winner Munawar Faruqui Reacts to Elvish Yadav’s Arrest: Here’s What He Said

The Bigg Boss 17 champion, Munawar Faruqui, addressed YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s detention. In an interview, Munawar said he didn’t know about Elvish’s arrest. After a Holi incident in Mumbai was filmed, Munawar supposedly had a conversation with the media.

What Munawar said

“Mujhe kuch bhi idea nahi iss baare mein,” Munawar remarked. My phone is on the band now. My phone’s battery just ran out of life. “Kaise hua yeh sab” means “I have no idea about this.” I’ve turned off my phone. The battery on my phone is dead. I have no idea how any of this occurred. The story claims that Munawar and Elvish Yadav were recently seen enjoying a friendly match of cricket in the Indian Super League. They had given each other hugs as well.

About Elvish’s arrest

In a case under the Wild Life Protection Act of 1972, Elvish, who was also the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, was placed in judicial custody on Sunday for a period of 14 days. The YouTuber was taken into custody and appeared earlier in the day at Surajpur, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, District and Sessions Court. Elvish was mentioned, along with five other people, in the first information report that was submitted in this case. Since then, the police have detained five of the alleged suspects.

About the case

The case concerns the police raids at a party in Noida in November 2023, when the police discovered that the attendees had been using snake venom to get tipsy. Elvish was one of the six people named in a formal complaint filed with the Noida Sector 49 police station for allegedly supplying snake venom during a rave party. Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh ordered the case to be moved from the Sector 49 police station in Noida to the Sector 20 police station. “Law will take its course, and no celebrity is bigger than the law,” stated Uttar Pradesh Environment Minister Arun Saxena in a statement regarding the situation.
