Mumbai Road Rage Incident: Family Witnesses Brutal Beating of 28-Year-Old Man
Following a dispute that started when an autorickshaw collided with his vehicle, a 28-year-old man was brutally beaten to death in Malad, Mumbai, on Saturday. When the altercation occurred, the victim, Akash Maeen, who belonged to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, was with his parents.
The auto driver tried to pass Akash’s car and crashed with it, causing an altercation near Pushpa Park. According to the Dindoshi Police, this small altercation became into a furious dispute, and the driver then left the scene.
In a startling change of events, a group of people who had assembled to support the car driver attacked Akash. Unsettling video footage showed Akash being brutally beaten while his mother frantically covered his body to protect him and his father attempted to stop it.
Akash was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, but he passed away. Police examined CCTV footage after the incident, arrested nine people, and charged them with murder and other offenses under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. They are being held by the police until October 22.
