Speeding BMW Kills 28-Year-Old in Mumbai Hit-and-Run; Driver Arrested
The incident, which came to light on Monday, concerned a speeding BMW that killed a guy, 28, on July 20 in Worli, Mumbai. This was just another instance of a hit-and-run. Kiran Indulkar, the defendant in the case, left the scene and was subsequently taken into custody, according to India Today. On Abdul Gaffer Khan Road in Worli, Indulkar’s BMW struck Vinod Laad, the victim, from behind as he was riding a two-wheeler home from work. When villagers saw a severely injured Vinod, they hurried him to the hospital as Indulkar fled.
On July 27, just seven days after the tragedy, Vinod Laad passed away from his wounds. After filing a complaint, Indulkar was taken into custody. In Mumbai, this is the second BMW hit-and-run incident of the month and the third overall. A 45-year-old woman was killed and her husband was injured when Mihir Shah, the son of Shiv Sena politician Rajesh Shah, was detained on July 7. He was placed under judicial arrest until July 30 after his case was heard in the Sewri court on July 16.
Mihir Shah declined to provide the police with an explanation for his departure from the site or to provide them with his whereabouts. The rickshaw driver in Navi Mumbai was killed on July 28 when an Innova struck a rickshaw. The Times of India stated that the vehicle struck the rickshaw, lost control, and collided with two further cars on the side of the road.

Although the motorist left the scene, the police eventually located him. Drivers and passengers were hurt when an Audi collided with two rickshaws on July 22. An inquiry is still underway, and the automobile has been confiscated.
