Gangster-Politician Mukhtar Ansari’s Last Rites Today; Post-Mortem Reveals Cause of Death

The lifeless remains of Mukhtar Ansari arrived late on Friday night at his home in the Gazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. Today, he will be buried. For the gangster-turned-politician’s funeral, the city government has sent a large number of police officers. Sibgatullah Ansari, the older brother of Mukhar Ansari, stated that the last ceremonies would take place early on Saturday. “The final ceremonies cannot be carried out tonight because we received the body after a slight delay. We’ll finish it tomorrow morning. Please offer up prayers for him, Sibgatullah Ansari said on Friday.

Murder suspect Mukhtar Ansari passed away in a Banda hospital while incarcerated. A heart arrest caused his death. But according to his relatives, he was given “slow poison” by the local government. Mukhtar Ansari’s post-mortem examination revealed that cardiac arrest, not poisoning, was the cause of his death. Under the condition of anonymity, a senior hospital source who oversaw the Friday post-mortem examination and had access to the report informed PTI that “the cause of death of Mukhtar Ansari was found to be a heart attack (myocardial infarction).” Five doctors on a panel performed the autopsy. Umar Ansari, the younger son of Mukhtar Ansari, was present at the Rani Durgavati Medical College during the post-mortem.

A judicial probe into Mukhtar Ansari’s death

Mukhtar Ansari’s death will be the subject of a magisterial investigation by a three-person committee. Umar Ansari demanded that the postmortem examination take place at the AIIMS in Delhi. But the request was turned down. On Friday, Umar Ansari stated that they hope the investigation will allay the family’s fears. “We’re hoping the court will assist in looking into the concerns we’re raising. We’ll speak with our legal counsel. We are certain that this was a planned murder rather than a natural death,” he declared on Friday.

How did Mukhtar Ansari die?

On Thursday night at 8:25 p.m., Mukhtar Ansari was carried to the hospital. He was treated by a group of nine physicians, but he passed away in the process. Mukhtar Ansari’s older brother, Sibgatullah Ansari, said he wasn’t treated well.
