Ignored Hardik Pandya Faces Brutal ‘T20 WC’ Verdict; Ajit Agarkar Suggests ‘Suryakumar, Rinku Singh and More’

You may want to think again if you think MS Dhoni doesn’t know what the Chepauk supporters are asking of him after seeing a new video that was uploaded on the Indian Premier League (IPL) website on Tuesday. Early in the morning on social media, a video purportedly featuring Ravindra Jadeja mocking the Chepauk crowd during the Chennai Super Kings vs. Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2024 match went viral. Dhoni was the mastermind behind the act, as was subsequently discovered. To the dismay of fans at MA Chidambaram Stadium, a video featuring Jadeja walking out to bat following Shivam Dube’s dismissal in the 17th over went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter. It was all a ruse, though, as he spun around fast and started laughing right before Dhoni left to an incredibly loud cheer from the audience.

Fast bowler Tushar Deshpande disclosed that Dhoni was the one who instructed Jadeja to pull off the act in a recent video that was posted on the IPL website and has CSK players discussing their 7-wicket victory over KKR at home. “You go first, but I’ll walk out to bat,” was what Dhoni said to Jaddu. I heard that,” Deshpande remarked. The footage shows Jadeja, in the CSK dugout, peering into the dressing room following Dube’s ejection as the former captain of the team puts on his batting gear. Before the 42-year-old complied with supporters’ demands, the act caused division among Chennai members.

“Well, if he just gives a glimpse of himself, their ticket will be worth it,” Jadeja continued. “Ek jhalak inn logon ko dikhaye toh inn keliye ticket ka paisa vasool ho jayega.”In the run chase, Dhoni didn’t have to put in much work because captain Ruturaj Gaikwad did most of the heavy lifting. Gaikwad hit an undefeated 67 off 58 balls, while Dube’s cameo helped CSK finish the back with 14 balls remaining. CSK has won three games at home this season, including this one. They had previously lost both of their away games, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium against Sunrisers Hyderabad and in Vizag against the Delhi Capitals.
