Mohit Sharma Concedes 73 Runs, Sets Record for ‘Worst Bowling Figures’ in IPL History

Mohit Sharma Concedes 73 Runs, Sets Record for ‘Worst Bowling Figures’ in IPL History

During Wednesday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Mohit Sharma let up the most runs in his four overs—73—which is the lowest total in the league.

In the final over, Rishabh Pant struck 31 runs with four sixes and one four, forcing Mohit to give up.

Sandeep Warrier struck in his second over, dismissing both of Delhi’s openers and taking a third wicket, as Shubman Gill continued to have faith in his opening bowlers. Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad, the spin team, were unable to fully dominate the middle segment, though.

Given that Sai Kishore had not bowled a ball before this game, Gill may have erred by not believing in Warrier for the 19th over and instead placing him in danger.

With the help of a scorching century partnership between Pant and Axar Patel as well as rapidfire half-centuries, Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Titans 224/4. After DC was down 44 for 3 in 6 overs, Pant and Axar used their counterattacking hitting to stitch 113 off just 68 balls for the fourth wicket.

Pant and Axar attempted to form a partnership when trailing three wickets, but once they were set, they launched a vicious attack.
