Mohammed Shami Breaks Silence on Sania Mirza Marriage Rumors: ‘Have the Guts to Say It’

Veteran Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami responded to speculation that he was married to the country’s tennis great, Sania Mirza. Following Sania’s divorce from former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik, rumors started to circulate on social media. In a heated response, Shami refuted the rumors and criticized people who disseminated false information while speaking with Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube program, “Unplugged.” Though he acknowledged that memes are created for humor and entertainment purposes, he insisted that people should generate them responsibly so as not to offend other people. Shami further stated that he would have reacted appropriately to the memes if they had been uploaded on social media by a recognized user.

“Hello, Ajeeb, and how are you doing? Do you think that Karin is still alive? Let me see your photo on your phone. Lekin mai ek hi cheez bolna chahunga – Kisiko nehi chuhiye aisa. As opposed to how kisi ke life se connected hote hai, memes are primarily meant to be humorous. Let’s see if we can make it through this obstacle course. “This page is validated, the address is known, and the user is logged in. That’s strange and done on purpose for cheap amusement. What then is doable? Those memes would be visible to me if I opened my phone. But all I really wanted to say was that I think memes are funny, but if they have anything to do with someone’s life, you should consider it before sharing them. These individuals spread content from unreliable pages and get away with stating anything and everything.

“Lekin mai ek hi cheez bolna chahunga – so that if aap mein dum hai, then hum batate hai toh verified page se bolke dikhao.” Taang kheechna bohot aasan hai dusre ki. Achievement obtained karo, apna level karo. Tab main aap acche insaan hai tab main manunga.” (However, there is one thing I would like to mention: I will respond if you have the courage to express all of these things from a verified website. “I’ll think you’re a good person if you try to succeed, help others, and improve yourself,” Shami remarked. Shami also discussed Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s recent T20I retirements following India’s victory in the T20 World Cup in Barbados last month.

After winning Player of the Match for his innings of 76 off 59 in the June 29 final at the Kensington Oval, where India defeated South Africa by just seven runs, Kohli became the first player to declare his retirement from the format. Upon concluding his career, Kohli was second in T20I cricket run-getters, having amassed 4188 runs in 125 matches, including one century and thirty-eight fifties. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja declared his retirement shortly after, making history as the greatest run scorer in T20Is with 4231 runs in 159 matches. Rohit made this announcement during the post-game news conference.
