PM Modi Unveils BJP Manifesto: Promises 3 New Bullet Trains and 3 Vande Bharat Categories

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Sunday that the BJP will introduce three new bullet train projects as part of the party’s program for the Lok Sabha elections. Additionally, he said, the government will split the Vande Bharat trains into three broader groups.

“The BJP plans to extend Vande Bharat trains throughout the entire nation. The nation will see the use of three Vande Bharat models: the Vande Bharat Metro, the Vande Bharata Chair Car, and the Vande Bharat Sleeper. The Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet Train project is nearly finished today and is currently operating at full capacity. Similarly, there will be one bullet train operating in North India, one in South India, and one in Eastern India. The survey process for this will also begin shortly,” he declared.

One Nation, One Election, and the Uniform Civil Code were two more promises made by the party in its electoral manifesto. The free ration program will be continued for the following five years, according to PM Modi. Additionally, the BJP has pledged to implement the Citizenship Amendment Act, which grants citizenship to all who qualify. The CAA was the target of nationwide protests after it was approved by Parliament on December 11, 2019, and the President signed it the next day.

Last month, we were informed of its restrictions. “To promote data governance, digital governance, and good governance throughout the nation, we will build the ecosystem and infrastructure that are required. In the same manner that the BJP views the Uniform Civil Code’s implementation as important for the nation, we will go with its resolution, PM Modi stated regarding the UCC.

Bullet trains in India

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project is scheduled to be finished by Indian Railways by June or July 2026. When it is finished, it will be India’s first bullet train. As of January 2024, the project’s overall progress was 40%. The 508-kilometer Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor is expected to have a restricted number of stops.
