Jaishankar takes charge as India’s External Affairs Minister
On Tuesday, former diplomat S Jaishankar started his second term as External Affairs Minister. 69-year-old Jaishankar is one of the older BJP members, along with Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, and Nirmala Sitharaman, who kept their ministries from the previous administration.

Kiren Rijiju takes charge as Parliamentary Affairs Minister
Tuesday marked the appointment of Kiren Rijiju as Parliamentary Affairs Minister, succeeding Pralhad Joshi in that capacity. Rijiju won reelection to a fourth term in office as the Lok Sabha representative for Arunachal West in the most recent general elections. During the last Modi administration, he oversaw the Earth Sciences Ministry.
Sanjay Seth, Jitendra Singh and L Murugan take charge as Union ministers
Sanjay Seth has joined the Ministry of Defence as the Minister of State (MoS). In the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, Jitendra Singh has assumed leadership as Minister of State (MoS).
