MI vs RCB WPL 2024: RCB Beat Defending Champs MI, Set to Face DC in Final

Royal Challengers Bangalore upset Mumbai Indians by five runs in the Women’s Premier League 2024 Eliminator on Friday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, in what turned out to be an exciting thriller. MI was confined to 130/6 in 20 overs while chasing 136. Harmanpreet scored the most runs for her team, hitting 33 off 30 balls. Shreyanka Patil grabbed two wickets for the RCB in the meantime.

Smriti Mandhana, the captain of RCB, initially chose to bat after winning the toss. RCB had a shaky start, losing to Nat Sciver-Brunt and Hayley Mathews early on in the innings thanks to openers Smriti Mandhana (10) and Sophie Devine (10). Ellyse Perry was the only hitter who stood out against MI’s bowling team, going just 66. The other batters were unable to muster any sort of impact. For MI, Ishaque, Matthews, and Sciver-Brunt took two wickets each respectively.
