MI Batting Coach Kieron Pollard Excited for Hardik Pandya’s New Role in IPL 2024 Season

MI Batting Coach Kieron Pollard Excited for Hardik Pandya’s New Role in IPL 2024 Season

Kieron Pollard, the batting coach for the Mumbai Indians, was spotted leading the squad during the preseason workout for the next Indian Premier League (IPL). In 2022, Pollard declared his retirement from playing cricket internationally. He had spent more than 13 years as a player for the Mumbai Indians. The next year, he was appointed as the five-time IPL champions’ batting coach.

The franchise revealed Pollard’s arrival with a video posted on the social networking site X, which was formerly Twitter. “Polly is ready for the new season!” was the caption they wrote on the picture. Are you ready, Paltan? Kieron Pollard, a Mumbai Indians single family.

“I am eager to see what the season of 2024 has in store for us. As you are aware, this is my second season as batting coach, and we have added new members to the group who will bat first. It’s good to have Hardik returned. For the past five and a half years, he has played for the Mumbai Indians. He has made a great contribution to Mumbai. I’m excited to watch him in this new role, and everyone is here to support him, of course. Kieron Pollard was heard stating on the video, “He has the legacy of taking it on as well.”

Kieron Pollard’s Performance in PSL 2024 and Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2024 Goals

Kieron Pollard has participated in competitions across the globe. Prior to moving to India, Pollard competed in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 for the Karachi Kings. After participating in eight games, he amassed 239 runs at an average of 47.80 with a strike rate of 151.27, making him Karachi’s top run scorer. His squad’s failure to make the playoffs meant that his efforts were in vain.

The Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit Sharma, made it to the IPL 2023 playoffs despite having an inexperienced bowling lineup. The team did make some good acquisitions at the December 2018 auction, and by bringing in several key foreign players, it has improved their bowling lineup. Under recently chosen captain Hardik Pandya, they will look to build on their previous performance and capture their sixth championship.
