Mayank Yadav Breaks His Own Record with 156.7 KPH Fastest Ball in IPL 2024
Mayank Yadav of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is still receiving praise from all over the world for his fierce bowling in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. In the continuing competition, the right-arm fast claimed three wickets for the second time in a row, good for his third-best bowling average this year.
He broke his own record for the fastest ball of the IPL 2024 with a time of 156.7, only days after hitting 155.8 kph against Punjab Kings. He is currently just the sixth player overall and the second Indian pacer (after Umran Malik) to reach 156 wickets in the IPL.
Tuesday night, the Delhi pacer made his debut by taking the valuable wicket of Glenn Maxwell during the Powerplay. After that, he went after players like Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar, bagging 3 for 13 in 4 overs. Green took the most brutal wicket of his three dismissals with a fiery rocket to close the innings at 155. As the ball nipped in, Yadav hit the good length, and Green ultimately played down the incorrect line. The ball beat the outside edge and struck the top of the off stump.
