LSG’s Clever ‘MS’ One-Liner After Marcus Stoinis’ Century Blitzkrieg Against CSK in IPL 2024

LSG’s Clever ‘MS’ One-Liner After Marcus Stoinis’ Century Blitzkrieg Against CSK in IPL 2024

In an entertaining IPL encounter on Tuesday, Marcus Stoinis showed off his explosive batting prowess by helping the Lucknow Super Giants defeat the Chennai Super Kings by six wickets and registering an unblemished century. Stoinis guided his team to victory in the chase of CSK’s formidable 211 at the Chepauk with 13 boundaries and six enormous sixes in his blitzkrieg innings of 124 runs off only 63 balls. This chase was not only the most successful run chase at the Chepauk in IPL history, but it was also really remarkable. Earlier in the match, Ruturaj Gaikwad’s graceful century for Chennai stood in stark contrast to Stoinis’s effort. Whereas Stoinis’s style was typified by raw power and aggressive striking, Gaikwad’s knock was distinguished by elegant stroke play and delicacy.

The Australian all-rounder showed off his stature and muscle by sending the ball flying over the ropes and into every section of the ground with ease. Stoinis opened with a massive six and then two consecutive fours to give LSG the victory. Stoinis needed 17 off the last over. In addition, he hit the game-winning boundary off of CSK’s best bowler, Mustafizur Rahman. There were just two deliveries required out of the four because the second four deliveries were similarly deemed no-balls. Then, to secure the Super Giants’ second consecutive victory over CSK, Stoinis targeted the empty leg-side region as he beat the fielders inside the circle and lofted his pull shot into the deep midwicket area. Following their victory, the LSG shared a fairly astute remark on their official social media account.

“MS FINISHES OFF IN STYLE IN CHENNAI,” they wrote, alluding to the well-known statement made by Ravi Shastri about MS Dhoni following his game-winning six that helped India win the World Cup. The Super Giants cleverly made reference to Dhoni’s finishing runs for the CSK on numerous occasions by using Stoinis’ initials. The Australian all-rounder Stoinis defeated Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who had previously this month made an unbeaten 113 against the Rajasthan Royals, with an unbeaten 124, which is also the highest individual score in the present edition so far.
